Hair Marriage
At OhWowYouWoreThat we always love a good collaboration and partnership, it’s one of the reasons we love to have contributors from all over the world to contribute to the site. So when we got wind of this collaboration, we were really excited. Very rarely do two renowned, well-established salons unite but this is one of those occasions. EXIT Salon will be partnering with Blyss Salon in the heart of luxurious Yorkville.
Rob Pizzuti, owner of EXIT speaks of this as a marriage between two salons stating, “We got engaged last night, moving in next week, and will be married soon.” EXIT salon, known for its many celebrity clients such as former Victoria Secret Supermodel Petra Nemcova, Canadian Model Monika Schnarre, Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson, Kreesha Turner and many more. Pizzuti was also the recipient of multiple Contessa Color Awards while Blyss Salon was the winner of the 2003 Salon Team of the Year and has had success ever since.

It is quite clear that the salons are quite excited about their new marriage. Having known and worked with the owners of Blyss Salon for many years, Pizutti says that the marriage is a lovely match. After running his own salon for nearly ten years, he said he was looking to make a few changes in his life, “My long time partner Frank and I want to adopt and joining together with Blyss will make it possible for me to spend more time with my family. Having been a colorist for 24 years now, owned my own salon for 10, and I’m proud of what I’ve accomplished and excited to begin this next chapter in my life.”
Many people may ask why Blyss? Why not partner with another salon? Pizutti says that he wanted to join with Blyss for he respects their work, skill, and business model and believes that clients will now get the best of the best with this marriage of business and skill.
As of August 1st 2012, five of EXIT’s best hairdressers will be working behind the chair at Blyss Salon; these include: Rob Pizutti, Patty Tzoidis, Erica Stone, Carla McAuliffe and Jan Vandenbroeck.
