eLuxe FNO
As many of you may know, Toronto had its very first Fashion’s Night Out (FNO) on September 6th. For those of you unaware of what FNO is, it was an event created by Vogue in New York City in order to help stimulate the local fashion community during the recession. Since then it has become somewhat of a global phenomena with celebrations in Australia, Paris, Milan, New York, Toronto and more.
This year I was lucky enough to be invited to the fantastic FNO party hosted by online retailer eLuxe. Held at their Toronto Headquarters on Adelaide, the event was one of the best of the night. Featuring the designs of esteemed jewelry designer Rebekah Price as well as the fantastic Smythe jackets the night was full of fashion and fun. With candy and sweets provided by Megan Wappel Designs, amazing fall spirits courtesy of Avion Tequila and last but not least, some of the best set lists DJd by Rory Them Finest, Watt Milson and Randi Bergman, the night was unforgettable.
Although we all hope for a time where we don’t need a “boost” to help stimulate the fashion industry, I do hope that we keep having FNO events every year for it was a great way to bring everyone out and celebrate what a great city and great industry we have.
