How to Wear: Neon
We’re well into spring and one of the most noticeable trends on the streets and in stores is neon.
Seriously, it’s everywhere.
You can’t walk into a Zara without being bombarded by bright shades of chartreuse, tangerine and hot pink.
While its fun to incorporate bright, cheery colours into your wardrobe, a little definitely goes a long way.
Too much neon and you risk looking like a pack of highlighters.
Not cute.
Instead, try incorporating pops of colour into a neutral ensemble.
A bright pink blazer is well balanced by a white lace skirt.
Similarly, a neon yellow necklace would look stunning under a crisp, beige blazer.
Want to be on-trend, but not yet ready to rock bright orange pants?
Try a pop of tangerine on your nails for an instant kick. Essie’s shade ‘Fear or desire’, seen here is the perfect way to jazz up an outfit.
Although neon is easy to embrace, it’s important not to have the colours in your outfit compete with each other too much. When it comes to neons, stick with wearing two maximum at a time to avoid having your outfit look confusing.

1. Essie nail polish in 'Funky Lime Light' 2. Sunglasses from H&M 3. Hot pink 'Hord' bag from Aldo 4. Juicy Couture bracelet, available at Bloomingdales 5. 'The Fluoro' satchel from the Cambridge Satchel Company, 6. Brian Atwood patent leather pumps
Remember, less is more!
So go pick up a fun fuchsia cami and see what a difference it makes to your style and mood!
